Karl Worley | The Story of Biscuit Love: Living Out Your Values & Redemptive Work
In this week's episode of the For Everyday Leaders Podcast, Brandon and Alex sit down with Karl Worley. Karl has been labeled as the “Biscuit King” and he and his wife Sarah started the national award winning restaurant Biscuit Love Brunch in the Nashville, Tennessee area over 10 years ago.
Karl and Sarah believe that being invited to their table is more than just about biscuits—it’s about community, sharing, and connection. They desire to nourish not only stomachs but souls.
They have simultaneously prioritized creating an incredible restaurant and impactful culture for their team members. They invest deeply in their employees and in their community.
Biscuit Love was awarded Andrew Zimmern‘s “Munchies: People’s Choice Food Award” and named “Best Sandwich of 2015” by Bon Appétit for its famed “East Nasty” – a buttermilk biscuit topped with fried chicken, aged cheddar, and sausage gravy. In 2016, Food Network star Alton Brown recognized Biscuit Love’s shrimp and grits as the best he had ever eaten. They have three Biscuit Love Brunch restaurant locations and are in the process of launching two more.
