Authenticity Triangle

The "Authenticity Triangle" illustrates how the size of our groups and communities influences our levels of authenticity. Scripture encourages vulnerability and openness, particularly within trusted, small groups that provide genuine support and accountability (Galatians 6:2). Jesus modeled this by sharing His most intimate moments with His closest disciples, Peter, James, and John (Matthew 26:36-38). While Jesus had many followers and chose twelve disciples for deeper investment (Luke 6:12-16), He demonstrated even closer relationships with a select few, fostering transparency and mentorship. Additionally, He appointed seventy-two disciples to participate in His mission (Luke 10:1), showing that deeper transparency occurs within smaller circles. Jesus' example teaches us the value of being truthful with all, transparent with some, and vulnerable with a few, fostering genuine accountability and spiritual growth within our faith journey.
